We are seeking a summer paid Graphic Design Intern based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Nazareth, Pennsylvania who will be responsible for creating visuals for both print and digital media supporting various departments within ASGCO Manufacturing.

ASGCO produces a proprietary line of bulk material handling conveyor components that enhance conveyor productivity, safety and reliability. We are focused on providing solutions for spillage and dust control in load zone transfer points and optimizing overall conveyor performance. Primary target industries include coal mines, coal-fired power plants, metals/minerals, cement and or other hard rock mining.

Job Description:

This is a paid internship role that provides a student with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skill development in a professional environment through the creation and support of real graphic design, marketing, and social media campaigns supported by video & photography assets.

We support/promote the graduate’s career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study and give them industry exposure. The internship experience enables students to participate in professional activities for ASGCO by working on important real-world projects. Internships are structured learning experiences where interns and our full-time professionals work together on projects within their selected organization. The internship role provides a student with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skill development in a professional environment through the creation and support of real marketing and social media campaigns supported by design & video assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support as required for the Marketing Department, both internal and external communications
  • Participate in design reviews and brainstorming activities with our head of Marketing
  • Develop and maintain Adobe Creative Suite skills in software utilized by our organization
  • Create and Develop designs for Social Media content
  • Maintain contacts and good working relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Work with Sales, Engineering and Fabrication departments to develop design solutions to meet end user bulk material conveyor transfer system needs
  • The role will also be required to support photography and video projects
  • Assist Company Leadership and Marketing Team with creating designs and updating other graphics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be pursuing a Design or Arts degree at an accredited school
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience
  • Strong familiarity with popular social media platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube)
  • Strong MS Office skills and experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • CorelDraw knowledge is a plus
  • Word press/HTML knowledge is a plus
  • Video Editing skills are a plus
